So as we’ve mentioned previously, we have a couple new undergraduates in the lab this semester. We’re still in the process of setting them up on the blog, and today will be Newbie2‘s regular posting day, so she has an introduction for you!
Newbie2 (pseudonym to be determined) is a sophomore from Brownsville, KY who began work in the Abbot Lab this spring. She’s majoring in ecology, evolution and organismal biology and English and plans to attend dental school. She fell in love with science the first time she performed the cornstarch-and-water experiment.
It’s like a solid—AND a liquid! Absolutely mind-boggling.
Wooooo! Go newtonian fluids!
